Beijing Shurui successfully completed the first single hole robotic surgery in China
Recently, Shanghai Jiaotong University led a number of domestic leading universities and high-tech companies, and Professor Xu Kai of the school of mechanical and power engineering led the team to independently develop the surgical sharp single hole endoscopic surgery robot, which completed Chinas first single hole radical prostatectomy in the first hospital of Jiaxing City, Zhejiang Province. The robot project has won the national key research and development program digital diagnosis and treatment equipment research and development special funding, with complete independent intellectual property rights and master the whole chain of key technologies. This time, Chinas self-developed products, rarely achieved has not been imported, that has been replaced.
Professor Xu Kai's team has devoted more than ten years to the research of single hole surgical robots. Using completely independent original design and theoretical system, they have broken through the full chain key technology of system research and development, and developed a single hole laparoscopic surgery system based on a highly rigid deformable snake shaped continuum surgical instrument.
The system includes 68 high-precision servo motors, which are used for preoperative fully automatic positioning, intraoperative operation and master-slave control. A dual loop independent control hardware topology for full state security monitoring is creatively designed. The full link master-slave operation delay is less than 50 milliseconds,

Single hole surgery is an internationally advanced new generation of minimally invasive surgery. Only a small opening with a diameter of 2.5 cm is needed at the patient's belly button, and the surgical robot can put a 3D high-definition electronic endoscope and three snake shaped surgical instruments that can bend freely and move flexibly to complete the operation. During the operation, Professor Wang Linhui accurately judged the tumor boundary according to the 3D high-definition field of vision provided by the robot. Using the highly rigid continuous snake shaped surgical instrument with full dimensional movement ability, he skillfully completed the surgical operation, completely removed the tumor outside the capsule, and efficiently completed the reconstruction of the anatomical structure and wound suture. The operation was successful with less bleeding, short operation time, and complete focus removal.
Single hole surgical robot is the most difficult surgical robot to develop. Previously, only the Da Vinci single hole surgical robot of Intuitive Surgery Company of the United States was used for human surgery, but the company has implemented export control on this most advanced surgical product and has not yet allowed it to be sold to the Chinese market. This operation is the first operation performed by a pure single hole (i.e., the skin opening is no more than 3cm) endoscopic surgical robot with completely independent intellectual property rights in China, which marks that the domestic surgical robot has broken the monopoly position of the American da Vinci SP single hole endoscopic surgical robot.
Compared with Leonardo da Vinci single hole surgical robot, it is still necessary to arrange auxiliary holes beside the patient's navel to assist in the operation during the operation. When doctors perform radical prostatectomy, they can still quickly and efficiently complete tumor resection, suture reconstruction and other operations in a narrow surgical space. The visual field clarity, operation smoothness and operation efficiency can be completely comparable to Leonardo da Vinci's single hole endoscopic surgery robot, which currently monopolizes the world.
